Quality Policy

Aeromotive Services Inc. manufactures and remanufactures wire assemblies, distributes quality interconnect components, and delivers creative solutions to customer wiring challenges. Our vision is to be a leader in the markets we serve through unyielding customer service, producing quality products, meeting customer expectations and enhancing the customer experience. We strive to expand our manufacturing footprint by driving continual improvement of our business processes and quality management system.

 

Mistakes Happen. Here’s our connector and interconnect return policy.

There are limited returns on electrical parts. In the event of a return the buyer must notify the Parts Department at 224-535-9220 within 15 days from the original ship date.

Notice shall be sufficient if it is given by mail, phone or fax using the contact information below:

Here are the criteria:

If the item was identified correctly:

No refund on shipping charges. Return the product freight prepaid. Any parts with open, wrong, damaged or missing packaging will not be accepted. Upon receipt of the item, a 35% restocking fee will be applied and a partial refund will be processed within 15 days either in the form of a credit to card the item was processed on or by check. No refunds are applied for electrical items that are shipped and cancel due to alternative options or perhaps vehicle totals.

If the item was identified incorrectly:

Once the item is received by Aeromotive Services, a full refund, including shipping will be applied within 15 days either in the form of a credit to card the item was processed on or by check. In addition, a prepaid self-addressed label will be provided for the part(s) being returned. Place the items back into the original box, apply the label and place into a USPS mail box.

Non-Cancelable and Non-Returnable Items:

In the event, the items that were purchased required a Non-Cancelable and Non-Returnable form, the item(s) are NON-REFUNDABLE.

 

Our Warranty Policy for Connectors and Interconnects

Aeromotive Services (Aeromotive) provides a lifetime warranty on connector housings and interconnects when properly installed, maintained and under normal use and service conditions.

This lifetime warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, neglect, improper installation; wires crossed, incorrect wire gauge, etc., vandalism, accidents, and acts of nature, electrical overload, exposure to cleaners or other chemicals. In addition, our warranty does not extend to products which have been repaired or altered outside of an Aeromotive facility unless the repair or alteration has been expressly authorized in writing by Aeromotive.

Notify Aeromotive of the cause of the defect within 30 days. Notice shall be sufficient if it is given by mail, phone or fax using the contact information below:

If the product is covered under the warranty, Aeromotive will replace the connector housing or interconnect ONLY. We will ship a replacement component. The original part will need to be mailed back to Aeromotive freight prepaid. Upon receipt of the component, evaluations will be accomplished to determine the non-conformity. If the item is found to be defective as a result of an incident mentioned above, the customer will be billed for the replacement housing. Otherwise, a replacement connector or interconnect will be shipped to the customer with no further expense.

If the product is NOT covered under the warranty, the customer will be responsible for the cost of the replacement part as well as shipping.

Aeromotive will neither pay nor take responsibility for incidental, consequential damages or additional labor times caused by defects in the product(s). Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damage damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

This Lifetime Warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State.

 

FAQ’s Re-manufactured Wire Harness Assemblies

Can you explain the Re-manufacturing process? The wire assembly is subject to 5 inspection phases, they are:

  1. Incoming inspection
  2. Preliminary inspection
  3. Hidden Damage inspection
  4. In-process inspection
  5. Return to Service Inspection

Is it possible for the estimated delivery date (EDD) to change? Yes, the estimated completion date (ECD) will be established after the Preliminary Inspection Phase. However, if the information received during the quoting process is fairly accurate, they should be able to commit to our EDD.

Is the quote I received subject to change? Yes, although it is our intention to hold true to all our estimates, things happen! For example, the Hidden Damage Inspection may reveal more than expected, especially in circumstances such as electrical overload, fire or rodent damage.

What are my shipping options? All package delivery rates are subject to weight, length, width and height pricing models established by the carrier. Our carrier of choice is UPS>

How do I submit a Request for Quote (RFQ)? The best method for submitting an RFQ is through the website form aeromotive.us/industries/automotive/automotive-harness/

Can I request an RFQ over the phone? You can call in and request a quote. However, we will be using the web form to do so. Therefore, it may be easier to go directly to the website form; aeromotive.us/industries/automotive/automotive-harness/

What happens if the part number is unavailable? Not really a problem. You will still need to add a value to the “Part Number” field. We suggest 123456789.

Do I need an OEM part number if the item is obsolete? It is helpful. However, we do understand that since the item is no longer manufactured the part number may be deleted. If so, type in UNAVAILABLE into the field.

What if my vehicle information doesn’t populate on your web form? That’s a possibility. Our data base gets updated annually. Please select a vehicle description that nearest matches your vehicle. In the notes field you can enter in the correct information. We apologize for the inconvenience.

What type of damage photos are required? We would like to see damage photos. For example; connector images, fuse box photos, extent of wire damage. This will aid in developing an accurate quote.

Re-manufactured Wire Harness Warranty Policy

Our commitment to quality allows us to protect against defects in material or workmanship for a period of 12 months.

Aeromotive Services Inc. warrants that the Products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. No claim shall be maintained hereunder unless the facts giving rise to it are discovered within 12 months from the date of delivery and written notice thereof given to Aeromotive Services Inc within 30 days of discovery. The foregoing express warranty is exclusive and is given in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. In the event of any breach of this warranty and provided such breach is reported to Aeromotive Services Inc. within the one year warranty period, Aeromotive shall, at its option, refund the purchase price, or at its option, replace or repair the defective Product. Aeromotive will pay all freight and delivery charges reasonably incurred in connection with warranty returns, but shall not be liable for labor or other costs or expenses associated with removing or replacing any defective Product. Under no circumstances will Aeromotive Services Inc be liable for special, collateral, indirect, incidental or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitations, loss profits and injury or damage to personal property. The sole and exclusive liability of Aeromotive for any claim relating to the Products, whether such claim arises under contract, breach of warranty, tort, strict liability or any other legal theory, shall be limited to Aeromotive’s obligation to refund the purchase price, or at its option, replace or repair the defective item as set forth in this warranty. This warranty shall not be applicable to Products which have been subject to improper installation, overloaded, misused, abused, or altered in any manner, unauthorized repair or damage by accident or otherwise.

  1. Contact Aeromotive Services Inc. immediately with the issue at 224-535-9220
  2. If applicable, run a diagnostic test on vehicle for fault codes and provide those to Aeromotive Services Inc.
  3. Determine if a resolution can be made through potential over the phone troubleshooting techniques with Aeromotive Services Inc.
  4. If troubleshooting fails, the wire harness will need to be removed from the vehicle and shipped back to Aeromotive for further inspection to determine the validity of the warranty claim.
  5. Aeromotive Services Inc. will follow their quality control testing and procedures to determine the outcome and provide resolution to the customer when completed.
